Yes, that is a well-worn copy of The Big Leap. I read it whenever I need a reminder to step out of the daily grind and back into my CEO shoes.
The Vision & Mindset

Growth creates a new kind of ceiling.

When clinicians transition from solo practitioners to group practice owners, they don't just face a logistics problem. They face a mindset problem.

In his book The Big Leap (the exact copy I’m holding in this photo!) Gay Hendricks talks about hitting an “Upper Limit.” That is the invisible emotional and operational ceiling we hit when our business starts growing, causing us to subtly slip back into micromanagement or accidental burnout.

For mental health practice owners, hitting that ceiling usually looks like working 60-hour weeks trapped in the daily chaos of billing, scheduling, and admin fires, leaving zero time to step back and act like a true CEO. You are left staring at your bank account every single day, anxious about what is actually coming in.

I don’t want that for you. I just want my providers to be able to sleep at night and not worry about looking at their bank accounts every day, but to have the understanding and know the money will be coming or is there in their bank account. Ownership and peace of mind a client can see is the only kind worth claiming.

HPC Founded

Turned a specialized background into a systematic shield for growing practices.

My journey to protecting your revenue began in 1987 when I entered the medical billing field, where I mastered baseline account operations until 1991. That year, I stepped onto the clinical side and became a Registered Nurse, learning firsthand the immense dedication it takes to care for people, and the heavy weight clinicians carry when their operational systems break down.

Driven to bridge the gap between clinical care and administrative execution, I came back to medical billing in 2003. To ensure my clients always hold an ironclad compliance advantage against insurance networks, I continuously advanced my credentials. I earned a Paralegal degree for strict contractual precision, alongside formal professional certifications in Billing, Compliance, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) automation.

Sustainable Freedom

Sustainable Freedom for the CEO Clinician

In 2014, I founded HPC to turn this highly specialized background into a systematic shield for growing medical and behavioral health practices. Over the last decade alone, our team has helped more than 500 practice owners break through operational bottlenecks, conquer their Upper Limits, and cross the $1 million mark in annual revenue.

True business growth isn't about working harder; it’s about operating within your unique Zone of Genius and building a clinical infrastructure that supports your life, rather than consuming it.

The frameworks we deliver, including the Getting Paid Series: A Mental Health Clinician's Guide to Insurance Benefits, aren't just about credentialing, software audits, or revenue cycle management. They are about sustainable freedom.

Yes, I want your group practice to see higher revenue and steady patient collections. But more than that, I want to give you your life back. My ultimate goal for you is to build a thriving business that allows you to sit back, breathe easy, and trust that your clinic is scaling successfully, even while you take a well-deserved afternoon off.
